A two-month cruise around the Land Down Under has been cancelled in the wake of the fatal incident of an elderly lady who was stranded by the ship on a distant coastal location.

The passenger had been hiking on the remote island with fellow passengers from the vessel, but parted ways from the group for a break. The ship left without her and came back several hours later after the personnel became aware the woman was missing.

An extensive search operation found her remains the subsequent day.
